ITS MY BIRTHDAY
Geez i am officially OLD!!!!! This only happens once in one's life time (age and birth date corresponding). Chei, i remember when i was 18... where did all those years go???? I am embracing old age though, so its all dandy LOL!!!
I wasn't initially freaked about my birthday coming up this year... which is very unlike me. Infact, i didn't start feeling the vibe until a couple of hrs ago. Usually, i woulda gone all out...taken the day off, bought myself a new outfit, gone out with friends and whatnot but i ain't doing all of that this year. Infact i have nothing planned. It wasn't until i was talking with my friend at work, that it dawned on me that it's really my birthday and i have a lot to be thankful for!!!!
I am grateful to God.... very grateful for another year, another time like this. I have too much to be thankful for. Not just for the preservation of life, but everything thing else that comes with me being Flygurle. God has been faithful in all aspects of my life. This time last year, i was at my lowest... everything was just not working according to plan(story 4 another blog). But i look back now, a year later and i'm like wow.. it could only have been God!!!. I am breaking into this yoruba song right now

I'm just thankful, i'm grateful, i'm humbled and i know i'm truly loved by my God. I thank God who has truly been my rock, my source, my strength, my shield and my ever present help in times of need.
I thank God for the wonderful, loving and supportinng parents that God has blessed me with (i wouldn't trade them for the world). I thank God for my extended family and friends, my health, my job, my home, my going out and my coming in, for all i lay and have ever laid my hands upon to do.... for everything really.
I thank God for life, for hope, for the joys and the sorrows, for the known and the unknown, for my 2morrow that i know is rooted in his plans. I am thanking God for many more years ahead.

Ofcourse you should be thankful that you are alive and well to see another year but it's even better when you can look back and you have a lot of beautiful things in your life.
